Doing the Work of God with the Right Intentions


“Cursed is he who does the work of the Lord deceitfully (Jeremiah 48:10).” We, as children of God, must be careful that “whatever we do, whether we eat or drink, or whatever we do, we do all to the glory of God,” and not for our own self-gorification and advancement, Indeed the Word of God warns us with the following sobering words: “Take heed that you do not perform your good deeds befoe men, to be seen by them. Oherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. But when you do a good deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your good deed may be in secret; and your heavenly who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly” (Matthew 6:1-4).
